Handleless kitchens are perfect for smaller kitchens as they eliminate obstructions. Instead of handles or knobs jutting out, you can have smooth lines that make navigating around a small kitchen much easier.

If you have young children, handleless units remove the risk of them catching themselves on handles in a confined space.

The smooth lines of handleless cabinets and drawers make efficient use of a room as your units offer uninterrupted lines. Hidden grooves make it easy to open doors, while the linear feel gives the impression of openness and space.

Build-in your appliances

To enhance the look of your kitchen, you can build-in your kitchen appliances so that the fronts blend with your cabinets. As a result, the kitchen looks less disjointed.

You may choose to build-in some appliances but not others. For instance, you may want to have a freestanding cooker or appliance that you have the option to move.

Sometimes, badly positioned appliances can take up space unnecessarily, but they don’t always have to stay where they are. You could consult a plumber or electrician regarding moving pipework or wiring to give you a more practical layout.

Integrated cooker hoods can be built into cabinets and turned on by pulling a handle or pressing a switch. You can opt for either an extraction or recirculation integrated hood. Or a downdraft extractor can be installed below a kitchen worktop or behind a hob. It sits flush when it’s not in use and rises to extract air when you’re cooking.
